About Me

Jay Cordova takes customer service and community involvement seriously, so he was naturally drawn to Banking Texas Style and the culture of CBTx.

While working at another bank, he began to hear good things about CBTx from former colleagues and community members.

“They spoke very highly of CBTx and the culture,” he said. “I knew CBTx was doing something right, so I was introduced to Brian (Dale) and saw firsthand they were not exaggerating.”

As a commercial lender, Jay will be focused on delivering tailored financing solutions to businesses in the DFW area, with a primary focus on commercial real estate.

“My favorite part of my job is building relationships with local businesses and gaining a deeper understanding of their goals and challenges,” he said. “I enjoy providing banking solutions that help them grow and succeed, ultimately contributing to the strength and prosperity of our community.”

“The most rewarding part of my work is seeing the tangible impact of the projects and businesses I have helped support. Watching a project come to fruition and witnessing the positive difference it makes in the community is incredibly fulfilling and reinforces why I enjoy what I do.”

Jay was born in Pecos and spent part of his childhood in Rowlett. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Texas Tech. He is an ambassador for the McKinney chamber, a member of the Anna Chamber, and participates in a Teams Networking Group.

He and his wife have two children and a dog and live in McKinney.
