About Me
Monica Pate has done it all over the course of her banking career, and she is clear-eyed about what matters most.
“Community and customers,” she said. “To me that is what sets CBTx apart from the others, the sense of pride that comes with being a part of each town we serve and the way we recognize and build lasting relationships with everyone that comes through our doors.”
Monica has more than 27 years in banking. She started working at a credit union as a teller right after high school and has held various positions that have exposed her to a wide range of experiences in the industry. She has worked as a customer service representative, call center supervisor and manager, fraud investigator, loan processor and customer advocate for the executive offices.
As Branch Manager of the Farmersville Banking Center, Monica is excited to serve a community in which she has deep roots.
“I grew up on 10 acres in Farmersville,” she said. “My parents bought acreage in Farmersville 1973 and have lived there ever since. I like the small town feel that is harder to find in larger areas, and the fact that people know your name and still value relationships and common courtesy.”
Nurturing that sense of community is part of what she appreciates most about her job.
“We have some pretty great customers,” Monica said. “I enjoy seeing them happy, especially when they tell others how we truly care for our customers, not as a number but as people and partners in our community.”
Monica been a member of Chi Lambda Fannin County, a nonprofit service organization dedicated to serving the children of Fannin County, since 2019, and currently serve as the organization’s treasurer. She and her husband, Sean, have a daughter and two sons.
