To mortgage lender Chad Jarratt, Banking Texas Style means meeting people where they are, understanding their needs, and delivering personalized service that puts relationships before transactions.

“I believe everyone deserves the opportunity to own a home, and my job is to help them find the best path to get there,” he said. “Sometimes that means helping someone buy a home today, and sometimes it means creating a plan so they’re ready in the future. Either way, I want my customers to know they have someone in their corner.”

After spending nearly seven years in corporate America, Chad was looking for a career that better aligned with his strengths and gave him the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on people’s lives. He began his banking career in 2016 and was drawn to CBTx because of the people.

“After meeting the local leadership team, it became clear that the culture was centered around serving customers and supporting the communities we serve,” he said. “I was impressed by the commitment to going above and beyond for customers, and I wanted to be part of an organization that shares those values.”

Chad has worked in multiple facets of the mortgage process, which has given him a unique understanding of how to guide customers from application to closing.

“Buying a home is one of the biggest financial decisions most people will ever make, and many first-time buyers simply don’t know what to expect,” he said. “I enjoy helping them understand the process, reducing stress, and giving them the confidence to move forward. My goal is to be a trusted guide throughout the transaction, helping customers navigate any challenges that arise and keeping them focused on the finish line”

Chad spent his childhood in Rusk, where he graduated high school, attended college in Jacksonville and later spent more than a decade living and working in the Tyler area. He’s excited to serve Palestine and looks forward to becoming even more involved in the community.

Fun Facts

What was your first job?

At the ripe old age of 15, I got my first job as a sacker at Brookshire Brothers in Rusk. It taught me the value of hard work, customer service, and showing up every day ready to do my best. I’ve been working ever since.

Who would you consider your hero?

My grandmother has always been my hero. She taught me the value of hard work, perseverance, and treating people the right way. Much of the work ethic and values that guide me today came from her.

If you could possess any superpower, what would it be?

I’d choose the ability to freeze time while still being able to navigate the world. Between work, relationships, and everyday life, having a few extra hours whenever I needed them would be pretty hard to beat.

Hobbies?

In my free time, I enjoy cooking, whether that’s trying something new in the kitchen or grilling outdoors. I take a lot of pride in cooking a great steak. I also enjoy watching movies, learning about cars and watches, and spending time with friends and family. Most of all, I appreciate opportunities to relax, enjoy good company, and make meaningful memories with the people who matter most.
